Noir works as a journalist and is kind of picky about his assignments, not that his boss complains about them since the guy would rather take those jobs that need extra effort and would have to involve great physical means in order to complete them which is what Noir likes. He is somewhat obsessed with staying in shape and exercises regularly, which is why if you piss him off you'll have to be just as fit as him, if not more, if you want to win a fight against him. Not that he frequently picks fights. He may look intimidating but he would only fight when extremely necessary, but he does make a few threats from time to time which is all he needs to get some people to stop bothering him.

During his pre-teen up to his age of twenty, he was a member of this gang but by his late teens eventually became their leader. They don't kill or anything like that, maybe near killings but that was caused by the opposing group. Noir has no desire to kill anyone no matter how many death threats he makes. Their gang mostly dealt with territory, drugs (but Noir never took some himself), and selling of weapons. He didn't really need the money since their family was pretty well-off but it was the thrill that drew him in. But when his family was nearly kidnapped and his little brother almost killed, Noir decided to quit all of a sudden since it was only then that he realized how deep he was in. Currently he had his parents sent to another country for safety (without them knowing the truth since they aren't aware that Noir was even part of a gang) but his little brother, Justin, wanted to stay and he couldn't really convince his parents otherwise.

He is very protective of Justin, even to the point of others believing he has a brother complex for the boy. Due to his past his is rather paranoid of anyone who tries to get close to Justin since they might have a hidden agenda. Unknown to his little brother (who isn't even aware Noir was even part of such a gang) doesn't know about his older brother getting attacked as well by old enemies occasionally and Noir would like to keep it that way. Noir is especially hostile towards humans since he never really trusted them and doesn't like the idea of his kind (kemonomimi) having to submit to them as masters in some cases.

Unlike to practically everyone, Noir is rather affectionate and kind to Justin. Almost like he became a whole new different person and that he would even offer the boy hugs, cuddles, and even 'cleaning sessions' as much as both of them would want.
